Pilot project · Holguín, Cuba

Solar Aid Center Holguín

Planned solar-powered aid center with battery storage, refrigeration, safe supplies storage, lighting, water treatment and phone charging. The starting point is an existing house with a well in Holguín.

Project status: Planned

Planned; quotes, local usage rights, technical design and funding are being reviewed.

Background

Frequent power cuts make it hard to keep food and medicines cool and to provide everyday supplies.

Location

Holguín, Cuba. An existing house with a well is intended as the pilot site; ownership and usage rights are still to be clarified.
