What is Hope Cuba and where does the work begin?
Hope Cuba is an initiative in formation based in Messel, Germany. We help people in need with food, medicines and sustainable services – starting in Holguín, Cuba.
Is Hope Cuba already a registered charity?
Not yet. The association's formation is in progress; registration and tax recognition are still pending. We will update this page as soon as the status changes.
How do you make sure help arrives?
We work with trusted local people we know personally and document needs, purchasing, hand-over and use of funds.
Which aid supplies are needed?
Mainly food, hygiene supplies and urgently needed medicines. In-kind donations only after consultation and according to the current needs list.
What is the Solar Aid Center?
A planned solar-powered aid center in Holguín with refrigeration, storage, water treatment, lighting and phone charging. It is currently in planning.
Can I get a tax-deductible receipt?
This is not currently guaranteed. Donation receipts will only be possible after registration and recognition of charitable status.
Does Hope Cuba also support refugees and migrants in Germany?
Yes, this is provided for in the draft articles – regardless of nationality.
Can I become a supporting member or volunteer?
Gladly. Supporting membership and the supporters' circle will be set up after formation. Register your interest now by phone or email.
